RSN Certificate – Silk Shading

My journey, experiences and things I learn as part of completing my third module of the RSN Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery – Silk Shading.
The piece is to be approximately the size of an A5 sheet of paper, and is worked on silk duping with stranded cottons. The design is to be either a fruit or a flower, but it must include a stem and a turnover.

My design is that of a bright pink wild rose. I have chosen to stitch this on blank silk. This will hopefully give a very dramatic effect, though it supposedly also very difficult!
