A Canvaswork Update – And Some Progress
I think I might be over my mental block with my canvas work piece!
The RSN Certificate in Hand Technical Hand Embroidery is a well respected and exceptional course offered for anyone with an interest in hand embroidery. There are four modules you are required to complete to a high standard – Jacobean Crewelwork, Canvaswork or Blackwork, Silk Shading, and Goldwork. As part of the module, you need to design, choose colours, stitches and threads, stitch, and then finally mount your piece to the high standard required of everyone at the RSN.
I am undertaking this course to improve my overall stitching, and to learn about designing my own pieces. It is a challenge, but an enjoyable one!
